The Nordic Interface Program is a new initiative by Kunstsilo, created in collaboration with The Lumen Prize, focused on supporting artists working with technology in the Nordic region.

Building on a longstanding partnership between the two organizations, the program provides a selected artist with mentorship from an international network of experts, dedicated production support, and the opportunity to develop and premiere a new work at Kunstsilo’s iconic Silohall during The Lumen Prize Awards Ceremony weekend in November.

The program builds on over five years of partnership between Lumen and Kunstsilo, it’s longest-standing institutional collaborator. Located in Kristiansand, Norway, Kunstsilo is an award-winning museum and home to one of the world’s most significant collections of Nordic modernism, and in 2025 was recognized with the Prix Versailles as the most beautiful museum in the world.

The inaugural edition of the program will feature the artist duo Entangled Others, composed of Feileacan Kirkbride McCormick (Norway) and Sofia Crespo (Argentina), whose practice explores the complex relationships between artificial intelligence and biological systems.

“We’re delighted to continue our collaboration with the wonderful teams at Lumen and Kunstsilo, and to create work for such a magical space for the arts. For Feileacan, as the Norwegian half of our duo, this project also carries a deeply personal resonance and a full-circle moment, unfolding close to where he grew up.”

About The Lumen Prize

Lumen is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and international prize supporting artists at the forefront of contemporary art and technology. Since 2012, the Lumen Prize has championed experimental practices by recognizing outstanding artists, awarding financial support, and creating opportunities that push creative boundaries through exhibitions, commissions, and public programs worldwide. We support artists, public access, and innovation in service of a more expansive cultural future and connect these practitioners with institutions, educators, and audiences to shape the role of technology in contemporary culture.

About Entangled Others

Entangled Others is an experimental artist duo composed of Feileacan Kirkbride McCormick and Sofia Crespo. Their collaborative practice delves into the intricate web of relationships between the more-than-human world and its interaction with human technologies, driven by the concept of entanglement—a complex state where no single entity exists in isolation, and every action, interaction, and expression resonates through a multitude of interconnected beings.

In their practice, McCormick and Crespo explore the uncanny and eerie spaces that lie between human technologies and non-human worlds, advocating for the dissolution of the self-imposed distance that separates us from the richness of our interwoven existence. Their art emphasises the necessity of recognising and nurturing the diversity and interconnectedness that define our shared environment.

Through their work, they question notions of bias in technology, and the representation of natural species: proposing a return to a biological model of computation, and exploring concepts of entanglement across various species & ecosystems. Entangled Others invites viewers to reconsider the boundaries between the human and non-human, encouraging a deeper appreciation for the intricate tapestry of life that sustains us all.

They have participated in talks, exhibitions, and have been awarded prizes internationally. Some of these include presentations at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, NeueHouse LA, MIT, Re:Humanism, Oxford University, UNESCO HQ Paris, Goldsmith University, and Times Square Midnight Moment, among many others. Their work also forms part of prestigious private and permanent institutional collections, such as the Buffalo AKG Museum, Onassis Foundation, Colección SOLO, among many others.

Entangled Others were the winners of The 2025 Lumen Prize Nature & Climate Award.
